Daksh is an architect, registered under the Architects Act, 1972, with deep research and reading interests in economic history and constitutional jurisprudence.


From 2018 to 2021, he travelled Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana as part of a collaborative research project, funded by The South Asia Collection, UK. A sui generis research that combined construction details and social stories of vernacular furniture. His contribution to research resulted in a number of international publications.


Daksh served the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir for about two years. He was deputed with the cultural executive to effectively implement state schemes. For the government, he investigated policies and translated what he saw into insights for better governance. 


Most recently, he led the Communications Office at IIT Jammu, voicing the institute—on press, web, and in person— to the legislature, executive, and civil society—helping stories reach the people who mattered.


Daksh has spoken on design, culture, and communications at several Indian colleges and universities, and his writings have been featured in Google Arts and Culture.
