A budgetary allocation of ₹ 200 Crores under CAPEX Budget 2021-22 strives to revive, restore, preserve, and maintain the architecture and tangible heritage of Jammu & Kashmir.
Upon receiving proposals for over 60 recommended sites from the respective district commissioners, I, along with officials from the Directorate of Archives, Archaeology, and Museums, begins a relentless journey to assess their inherent merit.
The task is no small feat. Engaging stakeholders, building consensus, and delineating target components for each site add layers of complexity—all in a race against time.
